Amarok – Alt+E Goes to Search Box

In playlist view, just hit Alt+E and you’ll get the search box to filter your playlist.

More Amarok – Windows + Shift NumPad + -/+ Seeks 5 seconds in both directions

I’m getting addicted to learning the Amarok keyboard shortcuts.

Windows+Shift+(num)+ – will take you back 5 seconds
Windows+Shift+(num)+ + will take you forward 5 seconds

Did I mention these are Global keyboard shortcuts, as in… Amarok does not have to be open (it does have to be running) for them to work? Too cool!

To globally increase your volume level in Amarok, just hit Windows + (numpad) + … to decrease it just hit Windows + (numpad) -

Amarok – Windows + ZXCVB

Amarok is a Linux music player.

Apply my post about Winamp’s ZXCVB controls to Amarok, but press the Windows key before Z/X/C/V/B. It’s pretty handy, you don’t even have to have Amarok focused. It’s a global shortcut.
