Writing Javascript isn’t easy. Debugging it can be a pain. Before the Web Developer Toolbar, I had to go to Firefox’s address bar and type “javascript:” to get the Javascript debugging console. Now it’s just a shortcut away.

CTRL+SHIFT+J will bring you to the Javascript console.

I’ve long been a fan of the Slayeroffice MODI tool but I think Chris Pederick’s Web Developer toolbar just won.

Install the toolbar if you haven’t, and then hit CTRL+SHIFT+F on any page. It opens a mouseover DOM inspector with loads of details.

If you use the “Web Developer Extension”:http://chrispederick.com/work/webdeveloper/ there’s a killer shortcut for the web devs out there. CTRL+SHIFT+H will take your current URL to the W3C validator, in a new tab no less! Keep that code clean!
